Choose the right floor

Each material has its strengths. We go over specific products, specifications and pricing during your estimate.

  • Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)

A rigid plank with a realistic wood or stone look and a water-resistant core that holds up well to Florida humidity.

    • Handles spills and humidity well
    • Scratch resistant and pet friendly
    • Can dent under very heavy furniture
  • Engineered Hardwood

A real wood top layer over a stable plywood core, made to move less than solid wood and suitable over concrete slabs.

    • Real wood look, feel and value
    • More stable than solid hardwood
    • Not for wet areas; needs a vapor barrier
  • Laminate

A dense fiber core with a printed wood look and a hard wear layer, at a lower price than most other options.

    • Budget friendly
    • Very hard, scratch resistant surface
    • Standard grades can swell if water sits on it
  • Porcelain & Ceramic Tile

Fired tile in wood-look, stone-look and large-format styles that stays cool underfoot in the Florida heat.

    • Excellent in bathrooms and entries
    • Very long lasting
    • Hard underfoot and a longer installation

FAQ

Flooring questions

Do you remove the old flooring?

Yes. Removal and haul-away of old carpet, tile, vinyl or wood can be included in your estimate, along with any subfloor repairs and new baseboards.

Can you install flooring over a concrete slab?

Yes. Most Florida homes are built on concrete slabs. We check the slab for moisture and flatness, level it where needed and use the underlayment or vapor barrier the chosen floor requires.

How long does a flooring installation take?

It depends on the size of the space, the material and how much prep the floor needs. Many single rooms take a day or two, while whole-home projects take longer. Your written estimate includes a timeline.

Do you take on small flooring jobs?

Yes. No Project Too Big. No Job Too Small. We install flooring in a single bathroom, closet or bedroom with the same care as an entire home.

How do I choose the right flooring?

Start with the room and how you use it. Luxury vinyl plank is a popular choice for kitchens, pets and rentals, tile works well in bathrooms and entries, engineered hardwood suits living areas and bedrooms, and laminate keeps costs down in dry rooms. We review the options with you during the free estimate.
